Pack hike

Got a busy schedule and multiple dogs at home? No problem! K9 805 will come to you, pick up/drop off your dog, and transport them safely in our crash-tested, sturdy Ruffland kennels. Your pup will enjoy a personalized outing, tailored to your preferences—whether it's a beach trip, dunes adventure, nature hike, or a visit to a lake. You choose the adventure, and I’ll make sure they have a blast!
Doggie Day Adventure

Looking for a personalized adventure for your dog? K9 805 offers a singular, tailored experience, with the option to integrate your dog with my personal dogs, who are experienced with dogs of all ages and sizes. This adventure is perfect for dogs that need socialization with other dogs and extra physical stimulation. Whether it's hiking, playtime, or exploring new environments, your dog will have a blast while building confidence and getting the exercise they need! K9 805 will come to you, pick up/drop off your dog, and transport them safely in our crash-tested, sturdy Ruffland kennels.

Consultations

Every new training journey starts with a one-on-one consultation. During this session, we take the time to evaluate your dog, discuss the behaviors you'd like to improve, and get a clear understanding of your goals. We'll also go over important paperwork and outline your dog’s personalized training plan, so you can begin building better habits from day one.
Consultations are required for all new clients, no matter which service you choose—this ensures we start off with the right approach for you and your dog.
Private lessons

Private lessons offer personalized, one-on-one training tailored to your dog’s unique needs. Whether we meet at your home or in a public setting, each session is designed around the specific behaviors and challenges you’re looking to improve.
These lessons are perfect for dogs who need help with manners, reactivity, leash skills, or real-world distractions. We’ll work together in the environments where your dog struggles most—so progress feels relevant and lasting.
Lesson packages are available upon request and can be customized to fit your goals and schedule.

Financing is available. As well sliding scale with proof of low income household, or dogs at risk of entering a shelter.
Basic Obedience & Manners - 3 Week Board & Train
Our Basic Obedience & Manner Program is a 3-week intensive training course designed to help your dog develop essential skills that form the foundation of good behavior and reliable obedience. This program is perfect for dogs who need to learn the basics or refine existing skills, ensuring they become well-mannered and responsive companions.
Behavior Modification Program - 3 to 6 Week Board & Train
Our Behavior Modification Program is a specialized training course tailored for dogs who struggle with more severe behavioral issues such as separation anxiety, reactivity, or fear-based behaviors. This program offers a structured, supportive environment to help your dog address these challenges while providing the tools and techniques needed for long-term success.

Pet sitting
Price May Fluctuate
Your pet will stay in your home in the same comfy environment they’re used to while you're away. I can stay overnight or drop in a few times a day to ensure your pets are well cared for, receiving plenty of attention, playtime, and care. For an additional fee, services such as dog walking, playing fetch, or grooming can be added to ensure your pets get even more love and attention during my visits. Whether it's a short trip or an extended stay, you can trust me to give your pets the care they deserve!

The AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test is a prestigious program that rewards dogs for demonstrating good manners and basic obedience in public and at home. The test covers 10 key behaviors, including walking politely on a leash, sitting for petting, and behaving calmly around other people and dogs.

AKC Trick Dog Training is a fun and rewarding way to bond with your dog while teaching them new skills. The AKC Trick Dog Certifications recognize dogs for mastering fun and impressive tricks. There are four levels of certification:
Novice – Basic tricks like “sit,” “shake,” and “roll over.”
Intermediate – More advanced tricks such as “spin” and “bow.”
Advanced – Complex tricks requiring skill and creativity.
Performer – For dogs who can perform a variety of tricks in front of an audience.
Each level helps build your dog's confidence and enhances your bond, while earning an official AKC title!

Hi there! I’m Madelyn, the proud founder of K9 805, a pet care service dedicated to providing your furry friends with the adventures and attention they deserve. Based on the beautiful Central Coast of California, I specialize in more than just dog training—I offer unforgettable beach trips, scenic nature hikes, and customized outings that keep your dog active, happy, and healthy.
With over 5 years of professional experience handling and working with dogs, I have an extensive background in conformation show handling, training, and competing in a variety of prestigious canine sports, including WDA, NACSW, PSA, IGP, and AS. My time working at a board & train facility on the East Coast as well as working in an animal shelter has provided me with experience working with a wide variety of breeds, ages, and temperaments, ensuring I can meet the unique needs of every dog.
As an AKC CGC Evaluator and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, I am committed to fostering positive behaviors and building a strong, trustworthy relationship between you and your pet. Whether it’s a fun-filled excursion or a peaceful time in nature, I ensure every dog is treated with the highest level of care and attention.
In addition to dog training I offer reliable dog walking, pet sitting, pack hikes and doggie day adventure services from Santa Ynez to Paso Robles, so you can feel confident knowing your pets are in loving hands while you’re away.
